30 Days of Sketches - Days 21 thru 25

With only a few more days left, this is the second last post featuring all these amazing sketches. I want to thank the organiser, Christie, and all the wonderful creators who submitted a sketch. This month has definitely seen a great rush of adrenaline and excitement as I work my way through them. What a way to make a comeback to scrapping!

Also, don't forget that there is a video for each of these over on my YouTube channel.

Day 21

This sketch lends itself to so many moods. I can see modern all the way through vintage. For this one, I used some very old stash. I am hoping to one day soon, use enough of my old stuff, to be able to bring out some more modern stash.

Day 22

Ok so my layout for this sketch ended up nothing like that layout. But I guess you can look at sketches as a jumping off point. Somewhere to start with inspiration, and at times that inspiration can take you down a completely different road. That's exactly what happened to me this time around. I do think that I am going to have to try this sketch again so that I an honour the lovely lady who made it.

Day 23

Unlike yesterdays sketch, I stuck to this one, sort of. I didn't change too much. But sometimes you just have to make it work with your photos and embellishments.

Day 24

Oh gosh, another double. I guess the more I do the, the more I will find them not so daunting. To think that's all I used to done once...ugh. This one has a mixed media background. I have my L plates on when it comes to mixed media, so I did a quick hack using mixed media to hide an ugly paper. Be sure to watch the video to find out what it is.

Day 25

When I chose my photos for this sketch, I didn't realise that the photo size needed to be a lot smaller. I did keep to the general layout of the sketch but just had to make some small adjustments.

Only one more batch of sketches to go. You can see all these sketches and more when you join the 30 Days of Sketches Facebook Group. I encourage to join if you are looking for loads of inspiration.

Thanks for dropping and Happy Scrapping.

30 Days of Sketches - Days 16 thru 20

I can't believe that I have kept up to now. Plus created a video for each one.

Day 16

I was surprised that this sketch suited a vintage layout. I had selected some photos for this layout of my grandparents in the 1990's. To me they don't seem vintage, but then again I don't often recognise that the year 2000 was 24 years ago, and even worse, the 1980's were 50 years ago..... So I guess a lot of people would call these vintage photos.

Day 17

I knew I was not going to do circles for this layout. There is something about them all together that doesn't gel for me. So instead I did flowers...lol..surprise, surprise.

Day 18

This is such a fun sketch with loads of areas for embellishments. I love how simple it is, but has a lot packed into it.

Day 19

Oh no, it's a double page. Me and double pages are just not gelling at the moment. I need to work on improving that. I love the big title on this one.

Day 20

This type of sketch is my favourite. Simple and classic. No weird shapes or anything that takes my brain too much. It definitely suites my older stash that's for sure.

That's it for this bunch of sketches. Remember that the main layout picture for each sketch, links to the video for it.

Thanks for dropping by and Happy Scraping.
