How To Kill A Kit With Style

This year is turning out to be the year I rejoin all the challenges....lol

The latest one I have joined is How To Kill a Kit With Style where you create your own kit and make as many layouts as you can from it. In the past the prompts to make your kit were based around a product or style. But for this year the prompts are very different.

January's prompt is Personal Growth. Because the kit can be anything you like, I have decided to make my kit one I will use all year long and have paired this challenge with the 100 Patterned Paper Challenge. So my kit is just 100 pieces of paper. I think this will be a lot of fun.

So for January's prompt I chose 2 papers from the stack of 100 and created this layout.

I decided to keep it pretty simple with just using a few repeated embellishments. Those embellishments were a stamped and die cut image, a few fussy cut dragonflies and some die cut foliage.

There is quite a story around the Personal Growth component of this layout, so I encourage you to watch the video if you want to know more.

If you have any questions at all, please leave a comment below. And if you want to share what you create, then please feel free to join my new facebook community here. I would love to see what  you create.

Thanks for dropping by.
Have a great day and happy scrapping.
Cheers,
Narelle

Stamp & Stencil Savvy

This month for Stamp & Stencil Savvy we were meant to be stamping florals. I may or may not have read the brief properly...LOL...and I stencilled florals. In my defence, it's still floral.

Here is the page and some close ups, followed by the video.

Thanks for dropping by.

Have a scrap happy day.

Cheers,

3 Pages * 3 Prompts Year Long HOP

This is a fun monthly Challenge for 2026. Three times each month for 2026 there will be 3 prompts to create a scrapbook layout with.

Four our first one we had to use red paper, enamel dots and triangles. I think these challenges will be great for using the products we already have in our stash. See what I created below.

Thanks for dropping by. I hope you managed to get some scrapping done over the holidays. If you did, I would love to see it. Join my facebook group HERE and show me your wonderful creations.

Until next time, stay safe and have a scrap happy day.
Cheers,
Narelle

Mixed Media Mayhem - Paste, Punches & Stencils

This week on Mixed Media Mayhem we were tasked with using paste, punches and stencils . What a fun combination. It was timely for me as I was dying to use that new paste I got in the Bee Arty subscription box.

The paste from Colour Blast did not disappoint. It is so creamy and easy to use, and the final result is absolutely gorgeous. I hope I get more colours in future subscription boxes,

Here's the video of my layout process followed by some photos.

Until next time, Happy Scrapping.

Cheers.

Collection Obsession - January 2026 - Layout One

Collection Obsession is a monthly YouTube hop. Each participant chooses a collection they have in their stash, then creates several pages using it throughout the month. I normally try to do one page a week.

For January 2026, I chose the Coastal Bliss Collection by Uniquely Creative. I have used this collection before for this series, but I think I stopped recording videos shortly afterwards and only did the one page using it. So I thought it was a good one to start with again.

You can see the original unboxing video for the collection here - https://youtu.be/bZL2gObM1ug?si=cSTsc0-jnKLjMidF

Here is my process video for this month followed by some photos.

Until next time, stay safe and Happy Scrapping.

Introducing the Color Cube Challenge

Santa left me the complete set of Sarah Renae Clark's Color Cubes. How awesome is that! So I decided to create a challenge to use them each month.

Each month I will randomly draw a card from the boxes. We will use that card as inspiration to create a scrapbook layout and/or a card.  We will use the picture and/or the color palette on the card as our inspiration. There is a YouTube playlist so you can see what everyone makes.

The best part is that anyone can join in even if you are not a creator with a YouTube channel or an Instagram account. Just join my facebook group HERE and post your awesome creations.

Here is the video of my layout for the card I pulled for the January challenge.

I really loved using the card as inspiration, and to tell you the truth, it was much easier than I anticipated. I was anxious when I created the challenge idea as I wondered if I would be able to do the beautiful Color Cube cards justice.

Here are some close ups of the layout.

You can find the Color Cubes HERE.
And don't forget to join my facebook group HERE so we can see what you create too.

Until next time, have a Scrap Happy day.
Cheers,
Narelle
