30 Days of Sketches - 26 through 30

Wow I can't believe that this is over already. And that I managed to do a layout and a video each day. If you have loved this series, don't panic, I have something else for every day in July....lol

Day 26

I loved working with this sketch because it is so simple which lends itself to lots of interpretation and play. There are no whacky shapes or weirdness about it. Just a nice simple design that is easy to work with.
I chose to use a Mintay paper for this one. I love how most of the work is done for you with these type of papers. Just place your photos and a few embellishments to enhance the clusters printed on the paper and you are done.

Day 27

This is probably a hard sketch to see as it is a hand drawn one. I must admit that I struggled with this one a little bit. But sketches are meant to be the jumping off point for inspiration, so in the end I used only part of the sketch. My photos are larger than in the sketch, so they wouldn't fit in the diamond to the side. So I made the diamond larger and stamped the corners of the backing paper to incorporate the stamped section on the sketch on the left and top.

Day 28

If you know me, you know I don't do a lot of mixed media. And this sketch has buckets of it. I settled on a compromise and stencilled instead. I kept this page pretty simple with just a few tags and brads. I may or may not have been running out of steam at this stage...lol... 30 Days of layouts is a big commitment.

Day 29

Another great sketch that is simple to follow. I just moved a few elements around on this one, but pretty much followed it.

Day 30

Yes I made it! The last sketch for the month. I loved this sketch! It is simple and fun, and could all sorts of themes and occasions.

So there we have it. 30 Days of Sketches complete. If you have been inspired by any of these sketches, be sure to visit the facebook group. In  the group you will also find previous series sketches. Heaps of inspiration to keep you creating for years.

So at the start of this post I alluded to something else I will be doing in July. It is another series with a layout each day. It  is called Off The Board. Each day I will be taking a pin off Pinterest to use as inspiration. So make sure you check back often for all those.

Have a great day and happy scrapping.
