30 Days of Sketches - Days 11 thru 15

Well here we are, up to the half way point of the 30 Days of Sketches. I am so happy that I have managed each day so far. It helps when all the sketches are amazing, it gets you excited to complete each layout.

Day 11

This sketch has some fun elements, like the torn corners. I love it when a sketch makes me do something that I don't normally think of. It's such a simple idea but has big impact.

Day 12

I didn't have a large photo as the sketch has, but I didn't let that stop me. I used three photos instead. Don't let one aspect of a sketch put you off. Just take and use the elements of the sketch that work for you. I don't remember most of the details of the products I used on these layouts, except this one. This product line in CakeWalk by October Afternoon from years ago. Most of my stash is around 20 years old, so don't expect to be able to still get this....lol. The only embellishments I used on this layout were the stickers from the sticker sheet.

Day 13

Some sketches bring an idea and photo front of mind when you see them. That is exactly what this sketch did. I loved that the sketch was quite simple yet effective and lends itself to a quick page.

Day 14

Wat a fun sketch. But I have to admit that when I first saw it I was intimidated by it. I thought how on earth do I make that work with the papers I had selected. I was just going to use the patterned paper that had stripes of googly eyes on it and say that was my interpretation of the arrows. But then I remembered that I had arrow dies by Altenew. The rest as they say is history. I love the fun look of this layout, perfect for the subject matter.

Day 15

This sketch is a classic. I love flowers so when I saw them on the sketch, I knew I wanted to make quite a delicate page. I had never done a folded corner before and I love how it looks. I will be adding that to my ideas vault. In fact, I think this sketch will be a regular that I use as I love it so much.

I can't believe we are half way already. Time flies when you are having fun. Be sure to come back for the next lot of pages.

Happy scrapping.
Narelle
